MemorySanctuary follows one core rule: Authentic memories, preserved with care.
Stories remain rooted in real recollections
Biographies, tributes, stories and personal memories are intended to reflect the accounts shared by those who knew the person.
MemorySanctuary does not treat AI-generated text as a substitute for the accounts shared by people who knew someone.
Current capabilities
MemorySanctuary should not be understood as offering advanced AI recreation capabilities unless those capabilities are specifically introduced and disclosed.
Uploading a photograph, recording or story does not by itself authorize MemorySanctuary to:
- clone someone's voice;
- create a conversational simulation of them;
- generate new statements attributed to them;
- manufacture events that did not occur.
If AI-modified media is introduced
Materially enhanced, altered or generated media should be identified clearly so contributors understand what happened to the original material.
AI Enhanced
AI was used for limited restoration or improvement intended to preserve the underlying historical content.
AI Modified
AI materially changed some aspect of the original media.
AI Generated
AI created material that was not part of the original captured memory.
Materially altered or generated media must not be presented as untouched historical evidence.
Preservation rule
AI may assist preservation.
AI must not silently manufacture personal history.
